Alyssa played softball for over 12 years for competitive organizations such as PA Chaos, Newtown Rock, and Nightmare. In high school, she received various awards including the 2019 Home News Tribune All-Area Softball Player of the Year, All-Conference Second Team in 2018, and All-Conference First Team in 2019. Overall, she was a two-time GMC Tournament Champion and helped Bishop Ahr to a division title in its first season in the GMC Red Division since 1995. 

She continued her career at Iona University where she graduated in 2024. As a pitcher on the Iona staff, she pitched over 200 innings and had over 60 appearances in her career. She earned a spot on the MAAC All-Academic Team every year of her career. She has been a coach with the organization since 2021 and has coached at many levels from 14u-18u.
