Mackenzie has been playing softball for several years for competitive organizations such as Nightmare. She attends Monmouth University and recently completed her senior year. After sustaining an injury during her junior season that caused her to miss the entire year, Mackenzie will return for a fifth year to complete her graduate season.

During her senior season, Mackenzie earned Second Team All-CAA honors while leading the Hawks in multiple offensive categories, including a .359 batting average, 55 hits, 29 RBIs, seven home runs, and 89 total bases.

Throughout her collegiate career, Mackenzie has continued to establish herself as one of the program’s top players. As a freshman, she became the first Hawk to be named to the CAA All-Rookie Softball Team and earn CAA Rookie of the Week honors on March 14, 2023.

While attending high school at Saint John Vianney, Mackenzie received several accolades including 2022 Shore Conference B-North Player of the Year, First-Team South Jersey Non-Public A All-State Team honors, and selections to both the Shore Conference All-Star Game and the All-State Senior All-Star Game. As a junior, she was selected to the Non-Public All-State Second Team and the Shore Conference Second Team.
